Yesteryear Collection

Built in Trenton, New Jersey, USA, from 1911 to 1914, the demand for these cars could never be fully met. In 1912, out of 80 starts, the Mercers - all quite standard production cars - took 25 firsts, 22 seconds and 18 thirds.

The (Y7-2) 1913 Mercer Raceabout type 35J was introduced in 1961. A nice simple model and released in a lilac colour.

Variations/Rarities: It was intended that the Mercer would be painted lilac but this was switched to silver when lilac was not available. Many shades exist with this paint and the silver is claimed to be one of them, the difference is plain - Lilac and Silver are two different colours, not shades of one another!
The seats were always made in black plastic.
The first issues had type 1 wings and 3 line baseplates.
The second had type 2 wings and 3 line baseplates and both types did not have front axle webs.
The third and fourth were fitted with type 3 and 4 wings but with four line baseplates and webs were cast in next to the front axle.
It was then fitted with finer tread tyres and can be found with a long or short spotlight on the bonnet.
It was then recoloured to yellow which is not so easy to find and this again has shades from a very bright intense mustard yellow to a more pale yellow. These can be found with a gold or an unpainted grille and long or short spotlight.

One of the more scarce giftware models but it can be found in gold or silver plating.
